5/21/2020 Survey by RNC Pharma and Doktor Na Rabote (Doctor at Work): 92% of Doctors Report Decreasing Access to Medical Care due to COVID-19
52% of doctors say that access to medical care has worsened after the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic, because anything not related to COVID-19 now works on the residual principle, according to an online survey by the RNC Pharma analyst company and the Doktor Na Rabote (Doctor at Work) social media service for doctors. Another 40% believe that the situation is close to critical, because doctors are overloaded, and many healthcare facilities are being re-profiled, while the retired capacities are not compensated in any way. It is mostly the doctors from Moscow and St. Petersburg who consider the situation critical. This correlates with the morbidity statistics, at the time of the survey Moscow accounted for more than 50% of all COVID-19 cases.

5/7/2020 Database Update: Pharmaceutical Drug Import for Clinical Trials to Russia (March and Q1 2020)
Between January and March 2020, Russia imported 262 thousand units of pharmaceutical drugs for clinical trials (CT), worth 6 bln RUB (customs clearance prices, VAT included). The dynamics in both monetary (rubles) and physical terms (units) are +56%. The number of imported trademarks has risen from 320 to 386. The number of placebo drugs has grown from 109 to 139 trademarks. In physical terms, placebos account for around 30% of the import (against 46% in 2019), while in monetary terms it is 21.7% (nearly the same as in 2019).

Another 17% say that there have been some interruptions in the provision, but the situation is not critical in general.
4/30/2020 Database Update: Pharmaceutical Drug Production in Russia (March and Q1 2020)
Between January and March 2020, Russia manufactured 102.6 bln RUB worth of pharmaceutical drugs (manufacturers’ prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms (rubles) 18 higher than that of the same period in 2019. While the dynamics in monetary terms are promising and not much different from those in late 2019, the dynamics in physical terms (units) are only +0.2%, with 1 bln units manufactured. If calculated in minimum dosage units (MDU), the manufactures volume amounts to 18.6 bln MDUs, with the dynamics of +8.2%.
4/28/2020 Database Update: Veterinary Drug Retail Sales Audit in Russia (March and Q1 2020)
In Q1 2020, the sales of veterinary drugs in the retail market amounted to 4.88 bln RUB (retail prices, VAT included), with the dynamics of +20.4%. The high dynamics could be explained by a number of factors, in particular average price increase and increased demand. The latter could be attributed to atypical weather earlier this year, hence a shift in demand. If calculated in minimum dosage units (MDU), the market volume is 47.4 bln MDUs, with the dynamics of more than +10%.
4/27/2020 Veterinary Vaccine Import to Russia (Q1 2020)
Between January and March 2020, Russia imported 2.1 bln RUB worth of veterinary vaccines (customs clearance prices), which is in monetary terms (rubles) 8.4% lower than that of the same period in 2019. The dynamics in physical terms (units) are as low as -24.8%, or, if calculated in dosages, 13.5%. The import volume amounts to 1.13 mln units, or around 10.16 bln dosages.
