Between January and August 2019, Russia produced 255.8 bln RUB worth of pharmaceutical drugs (manufacturers’ prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms (rubles) 20.2% higher than that of the same period in 2018. In physical terms, the dynamics are +4.5%, with the production volume of 2.83 bln units. If calculated in minimum dosage units (MDU), the dynamics are +3.5%, with the production volume of 47 bln MDUs.

Between January and July 2019, Russia imported 37.7 bln RUB worth of veterinary products (free circulation prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms (rubles) 0.1% lower than that of the same period in 2018. The negative dynamics are only due to the import of feed supplements dropping by 12.4%. However, the import of feed supplements is the leader in the volume of import in monetary terms with 19.2 bln RUB. The dynamics in physical terms (units) are only negative, -2.4%.

Between January and July 2019, Russia imported 69.5 bln RUB worth of APIs (free circulation prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms (rubles) 26.5% higher than that of the same period in 2018. As earlier, a significant price increase contributed to the high dynamics. In physical terms (tons), the dynamics are +4.5%, with the import volume of 7 thousand tons.

In July 2019, Russia imported 61.5 bln RUB worth of ready-made pharmaceuticals (free circulation prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms (rubles) +31.5% higher than that of July 2018 and the highest volume since August 2010. Higher dynamics were witnessed in June 2016. However, the dynamics in physical terms are only +7.3%, with the import volume of 183.3 bln units.

In anticipation of the direct line with the Minister of Health of Russia Veronika Skvortsova, scheduled for September 13, 2019, the RNC Pharma analyst company and the Doktor Na Rabote (Doctor at Work) social network for doctors conducted an online survey to find out which problems the professional community finds most concerning and which should be addressed to the Minister.
