4/25/2019 Database Update: Import of Pharmaceutical Drugs Made in EEU Countries to Russia (March 2019)

Between January and March 2019, Russia imported 2.6 bln RUB worth of pharmaceuticals made in the EEU countries (wholesale prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms 49.6% higher than that of the same period in 2018. The dynamics in physical terms are +61.2% (65.3 mln units).

Between January and March 2019, Russia produced 86.9 bln RUB worth of pharmaceuticals (manufactures’ dispatch prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms 14.7% higher than that of the same period of 2018. However, the dynamics in physical terms are only +0.5% (1.01 bln units).

In January 2019, Russia exported 1.53 bln RUB worth of pharmaceutical drugs (customs duties included, exports to the EEU countries excluded), which is in monetary terms 73.3% higher than that of January 2018. In physical terms, the dynamics are +46.4% (31.0 mln units.)

Between January and February 2019, Russia imported 9.0 bln RUB worth of veterinary products (free circulation prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms 8.6% higher than that of the same period in 2018. Russia imported nearly 5.0 bln RUB of feed supplements (+6.4% in monetary terms), 3.7 bln RUB of veterinary drugs (+12.5%), and 0.36 bln RUB of veterinary APIs (+1.6%.)

Between January and February 2019, Russia imported 75.5 bln RUB worth of ready-made pharmaceutical drugs (free circulation prices), which is 4.9% higher than that of the same period in 2018, and 17.6 bln RUB worth of in-bulk drugs, which is 26.0% higher than that of the same period in 2018. The total dynamics in monetary terms are +8.3%. The dynamics of the import of ready-made drugs in physical terms are -11.0% (250.6 mln units), or -7.2%, if calculated in minimum dosage units (MDU.)
