Between January and July 2018, Russia imported 6.5 bln RUB worth of pharmaceutical drugs produced in the EEU countries (wholesale prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms 7% higher than that of the same period of 2017. In physical terms, the dynamics are still negative, -0.6%, as Russia imported around 119.7 mln units of pharmaceuticals.

Between January and June 2018, Russia imported 46.3 bln RUB worth of APIs (free circulation prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms 30.3% higher than that of the same period of 2017. In physical terms, the dynamics are -4.5%, which is true for the import of both pharmacopoeial and technical APIs. Since January 208, Russia has imported 5.4 tons of APIs.

Between January and June 2018, Russia imported 244.3 bln RUB worth of ready-made drugs (free circulation prices), which is in monetary terms 2% higher than that of the same period of 2017, and 52 bln RUB worth of in-bull drugs, which is in monetary terms 5% higher than that of the same period of 2017.

While Russia is still new to pharmaceutical export and the export of ready-made drugs hardly amounted to 22 bln RUB in 2017 (customs duties included, EAEU countries excluded), the API export in 2017 amounted to only 1.2 bln RUB. In a number of cases, it is not exactly export, rather return of import.

Between January and June 2018, Russia produced 157.4 bln RUB worth of pharmaceutical drugs (dispatch prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms 1.2% lower than that of the same period of 2017. In physical terms, Russia produced 2 bln units of pharmaceuticals over the period, which is 10% lower than that of the same period of 2017. If calculated in minimum dosage units (MDU), the dynamics are +0.6%. The dynamics of the production of over-the-counter drugs in physical terms are -9%, while those of the Rx production are -11%. In June, the dynamics of the OTC production were +4.5%, while those of the Rx production were -19%.

Between January and June 2018, Russia imported 5.9 bln RUB worth of pharmaceutical drugs produced in the EEU countries (wholesale prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms more than 11% higher than that of the same period of 2017. In physical terms, Russia imported 99.7 mln units of drugs, which is 4.3% lower than that of the same period of 2017.

Between January and May 2018, Russia imported 37.7 bln RUB worth of APIs (free circulation prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms 34% higher than that of the same period of 2017. In physical terms, the dynamics are -3.3%, with the import amounting to 4,600 tons of APIs.

Between January and May 2018, Russia imported 24.8 bln RUB worth of veterinary products (free circulation prices): 13.6 bln RUB of feed supplements (+13% in monetary terms), 10.4 bln RUB of veterinary drugs (+15%), and 0.83 bln RUB of veterinary APIs (+26%).

Between January and May 2018, Russia imported 198.7 bln RUB worth of ready-made pharmaceutical drugs (free circulation prices), which is in monetary terms 2% higher than that of the same period of 2017, and 42.7 bln RUB worth of in-bulk pharmaceutical drugs, which is in monetary terms 20.3% higher than that of the same period of 2017. The total dynamics are 4.8%.

Between January and March 2018, Russia exported 5.05 bln RUB worth of ready-made drugs (custom clearance prices), the EEU countries excluded. In monetary terms, this is 1.2% higher than that of the same period of 2017. In physical terms, the dynamics are -3.7%, with 0.12 bln units. When calculated in minimum dosage units (MDU), the dynamics are -9%.
