Database Update: Pharmaceutical Drug Import from EEU Countries to Russia (July 2018)
Between January and July 2018, Russia imported 6.5 bln RUB worth of pharmaceutical drugs produced in the EEU countries (wholesale prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms 7% higher than that of the same period of 2017. In physical terms, the dynamics are still negative, -0.6%, as Russia imported around 119.7 mln units of pharmaceuticals.
Following the current tendencies, the dynamics, if calculated in minimal dosage units (MDU), are positive, +4%. However, this tendency is not true for everything, in particular the import of Sodium Chloride (200 ml bottle) has grown considerably, while that of Sodium Chloride (40 ampoules) is actively decreasing.
The leader for the period is still Belmedpreparaty (Belarus). Despite importing 39% of the total volume, its dynamics are ones of the worst, -38%. Pharmland (Belarus) has the highest dynamics, it has increased its import by 25 times, while importing only one product - Furacilin (solution). It is followed by Pharmstandard, which has increased its import by 18 times thanks to Next Uno Express.
Khimfarm (Kazakhstan) has the worst dynamics, -50% in monetary terms.
