Database Update: Import of Veterinary Drugs, Feed Supplements, and APIs to Russia (May 2018)
Between January and May 2018, Russia imported 24.8 bln RUB worth of veterinary products (free circulation prices): 13.6 bln RUB of feed supplements (+13% in monetary terms), 10.4 bln RUB of veterinary drugs (+15%), and 0.83 bln RUB of veterinary APIs (+26%).
In physical terms, the dynamics of the import of feed supplements are -13%, while those of the import of veterinary APIs and veterinary drugs are -9% and -2%, respectively.
The leaders in the import dynamics are South Korea and Indonesia, with an 8.3 and 5 times increase, respectively. The import of feed supplements contributed most to the dynamics. In particular, Daesung (South Korea) has increased its import by 15.5 times thanks to Sewon L-Lysine.
As for veterinary drugs, Dupont has the best dynamics among the top 20 companies. The import of its Virkon C, which is distributed by Bayer in Russia, has risen by 11.4 times.
Levofloxacin Hemihydrate by Shangyu Jingxin has the highest dynamics among veterinary APIs both in monetary and physical terms, with a 7 times increase in monetary terms.
