Database Update: Import of Veterinary Drugs, Feed, Feed Supplements and APIs to Russia (January 2018)
In January 2018, Russia imported 1.9 bln RUB worth of feed supplements (free circulation prices), which is in monetary terms 13% lower than that of January 2017, 1.3 bln RUB worth of veterinary drugs, which is 3% higher than that of January 2017, and 200 mln RUB worth of veterinary APIs, which is as much as 62% higher than that of January 2017.
In physical terms, the dynamics are not as different. In January 2018, Russia imported 343,400 units of feed supplements, which is 48% lower than that of January 2017, 1.1 mln units of veterinary drugs, which is 18% lower than that of January 2017, and 88.2 tons of veterinary APIs, which is 2% lower than that of January 2017.
In January, Russia started importing a number of new veterinary products. The new feed supplements are VegaButy by Zhejiang Vega Bio-Technology (China) and Orepax by Qalian (France), both products are for poultry. Among the four new veterinary drugs, Cyclo Spray by Cymedica (The Netherlands) and Cemay by Laboratorios Maymo (Spain) are the most imported. These antibiotics are used for livestock treatment, the first one is a spray for outward application and the second one is an injection drug.
As for the import of veterinary APIs, there has not been any new products yet.
