Between January and September 2018, Russia exported 16.1 bln RUB worth of pharmaceutical drugs (EEU countries excluded, customs duties included), which is in monetary terms 9.3% higher than that of the same period of 2017. In physical terms, the export volume is 0.37 bln units and the dynamics are -6%. If calculated in minimum dosage units (MDU), the dynamics are also negative, -9.4%.

In September 2018, Russia exported 2.32 bln RUB worth of pharmaceuticals, which is 20.3% higher than that of September 2017. It is also record-worthy; we saw higher dynamics only in May 2018 (+32%.)

Between January and September 2018, Russian-made pharmaceuticals accounted for nearly 59% of the export (compared to nearly 64% in 2017.) The number of exporting companies in 2018 was 338, while in 2017 it was 343.

Among the top 20 Russian exporting companies with the biggest export volume in monetary terms, Avexima has the highest dynamics (a 26 times increase.) It is followed by Promomed, with an 11 times increase. Ozon has the lowest dynamics (-39%), followed by Institute of Poliomyelitis and Viral Encephalitis n.a. M. Chumakov (-37%.) The latter, despite the fall, remains one of the leading exporters.
