Survey by RNC Pharma and Doktor Na Rabote (Doctor at Work): Only 11% of Russian Pharmacists Do not Plan to Get the COVID-19 Vaccine
61% of the Russian pharmacists who took part in an online survey by the RNC Pharma analyst company and the Doktor Na Rabote (Doctor at Work) social media service for doctors said they had been vaccinated against COVID-19. Male respondents tended to choose this answer more often (67%) than female ones (53%). However, no statistically significant age differences were found.
Another 15% of the study participants were not vaccinated at the time of the survey, but they plan to in the future. The reasons for postponing the procedure were mostly quite objective, including a recent infection and the presence of antibodies. 10% of the pharmacists have not been vaccinated yet due to contraindications, such as concomitant diseases, pregnancy, etc.
About 10% of specialists are not planning to get the jab, and the main reason here is distrust of health care officials, as well as insufficient research of the currently used vaccines. Less than 1% of the pharmacists faked their vaccination certificate—this possibility is still not very popular among the professionals.
We would also like to note that those choosing the “Other” option drew attention to the fact that they were forced to get vaccinated if they wanted to continue working.
