Dispatch Volumes of Pharmaceutical Drugs from Russian Manufacturers (June and 1st Half of 2017)
Between January and June 2017, Russian manufacturers dispatch 159.8 bln RUB worth of pharmaceutical drugs (dispatch prices, VAT included), which is 5.5% higher than that of the same period of 2016. In physical terms, the volume is 2.03 bln units, which is only 1.7% higher than that of the same period of 2016.
For the third consecutive month, the performance of Russian companies has been rather poor. While in April and May the profits fell by 1% and 3% respectively, the dispatch volumes in physical terms showed double-digit dynamics. In June though, the dispatch volumes decreased by 18% in monetary and by 8% in physical terms against June 2016.
The pharmaceutical drug import follows the trend. Between January and June 2017, Russia imported 281.3 bln RUB worth of ready-made and in-bulk drugs (customs clearance included), which is only 1% higher than that of the same period of 2016. The import of ready-made drugs has risen by 8%, while the in-bulk import has fallen by as much as 25%. In physical terms, the total import of pharmaceutical drugs has decreased by 4% if calculated in minimum dosage units (MDU.)
