Dispatch Volumes of Pharmaceutical Drugs from Russian Manufacturers (October 2017)
Between January and October 2017, Russian manufacturers produced and dispatched 271 bln RUB worth of pharmaceutical drugs (dispatch prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms 5.8% higher than that of the same period of 2016. In physical terms, the dynamics are 1.6%, with 3.45 bln units.
The October performance is not impressive, with the dispatch volume amounting to 29.7 bln RUB and 0.37 bln units. The dynamics are -4% and -2.1% in monetary and physical terms, respectively. However, the dynamics followed the season’s trends, and the short-term rates are positive. Despite that, it is difficult to say the same for the long-term rates, as they are quite different from the trends of the previous years.
However, the dispatch volumes are falling behind the import volumes in both monetary and physical terms. Between January and October 2017, Russia imported 420 bln RUB worth of ready-made drugs (customs clearance included), which is in monetary terms 8.9% higher than that of the same period of 2016. In physical terms, the increase is 5.9%, with 1.65 units of ready-made drugs.
