Dispatch Volumes of Pharmaceutical Drugs from Russian Manufacturers (August 2017)
Between January and August 2017, Russian manufacturers produced and dispatched 212.3 bln RUB worth of pharmaceutical drugs (dispatch prices, VAT included), which is in monetary terms 8.7% higher than that of the same period of 2016. In physical terms, the dispatch volume amounted to 2.73 bln units, which is 2.3% higher than that of the same period of 2016.
The August performance exceeded all expectations – with the seasonal spike, Russian manufacturers produced and dispatched 30.7 bln RUB worth of pharmaceuticals, which is 34% higher than that of August 2016. This is the second best result of 2017 after January (+46%). In physical terms, the dispatch volume amounted to 0.42 bln units, with a 7.3% increase.
In August, the things went to normal, with the dispatch dynamics in both monetary and physical terms being higher than those of the import. Between January and August 2017, the import dynamics amounted to roughly 4%, with 390.4 bln RUB (customs clearance and VAT included).
